“Koshish toh ki thi.”

“Ek aakhri baar phir sahi.”

“Aaj waqt nahi hai.”

“Tabhi toh poocha.”

“Kya?”

“Phir milne aaoge na?”

Sitting on my kitchen floor.

At 3 am.

We could take turns digging though

My Special K cereal box.

Taking big handfuls,

And whoever gets the most

Of those terrible little chocolate pieces

Wins them all.

Or you could kiss me.

I'd let you kiss me, if you wanted to.

As much as you wanted to.

We could crush that cereal into dust below us,

And turn my late night craving into you instead.

I know it isn't possible for now.

I'll have to make due with artificial chocolate.

But I do wish you were here.
